Juliana Postarini
Head of Narrative & Social Impact
Juliana is an anthropologist whose work explores how narratives shape vulnerability — and how institutions can respond responsibly.
Her academic research began at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where she studied the social worlds surrounding child recruitment. That early focus on identity, belonging and risk shaped the direction of her career. She went on to work across NGOs and government institutions, contributing to prevention strategies and policy design aimed at protecting children and strengthening community resilience.
Over the past decade, her professional journey has moved across Colombia, the UK and Switzerland, and across very different institutional contexts. In London, she worked within major infrastructure programmes designing social value and pre-employment strategies for vulnerable groups, including people with convictions. In Switzerland, she contributed to consultancy and evaluation projects assessing education initiatives and supporting local organisations.
At the Narrative Lab, Juliana leads narrative analysis and social impact strategy. She focuses on understanding how identities, cultural codes and socio-economic realities influence the way harmful narratives take hold. Her role is to translate that understanding into counter-narrative approaches that are culturally grounded, ethically considered and aligned with long-term impact.
Anthropology underpins her work — not only as a conceptual lens, but as a practical method: listening closely, interpreting meaning, and turning insight into structured strategic action.
She holds an MSc in Anthropology & Development from the London School of Economics.
